NZ DIPLOMA IN JEWELLERY (LEVEL 5)

This program focuses on intermediate construction skills required in goldsmithing and jewellery, to the required standard.

ABOUT THE COURSE

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN

You will use and apply techniques to achieve mounts, filing, band rings, bracelets, wire-work, Rhino CAD and design projects to develop your own ideas.
Projects will be made entirely by hand, or blended with other manufacturing techniques to produce viable jewellery designs to a brief.
This program is closely linked to employment focused activities, and will suit anyone who is considering further study to make goldsmithing and jewellery a career.

ENTRY CRITERIA

Minimum Requirements -You must be 18 years of age or older, and have English at NCEA Level 1, as all tuition is conducted in English, completed NZ Certificate in Jewellery and NZ Certificate in Arts and Design or demonstrated equivalent knowledge or skills.

 

Detailed Requirements - An audition is required and is free of charge. Prior experiences or achievements are not assessed unless requested.

NZ Diploma in Jewellery, Level 5

Fees: $ 11652.48

COURSE COSTS AND MATERIALS 

The school provides basic materials and common use tools required to complete the qualifications.
Students should also budget for additional materials up to $900.00 This can include, CAD, Hand tools, Stationery, metals and stones.
Where students wish to manufacture jewellery that exceeds project specifications; those materials are not included.
Full tuition is given in material conservation and best practice management.

This course is of 120 Credits.​

EDUCATION PATHWAY

Learners may enrol for PMGS Diploma in Jewellery Level 6
